(SLR27) Psychon - Apocalypse has been dubbed the weekend pill CD (co-release w/ Narrominded, NL) Dutch group do freejazz, krautrock, ambient, electronica and arenarock. (SLRxx) new 3"CDR's by Bridle Wire, and The Trust Riots -------------- 02 Artist News -------------- Birchville Cat Motel kicks off a US tour Dec 29th - Jan 8th. On tour with him is Howard Stelzer (who runs Intransitive) and Donna Parker. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Chuck Bettis is set to play some West Coast dates in February to support the new Sonic Sigils 3"CD. These will be posted as soon as we know them. Bettis (the hardest working musician we know) is always a busy fellow, he is now singing for Measles Mumps Rubella who are supporting Le Tigre for some dates in early December. Dogg N' Pony records will be releasing in early 2005, a record by WW3 which features Bettis on bass and rhodes piano, along with Josh Blair (drums, vibes, & electronics), and Jerry Lim (guitar & music boxes). ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| We have two new artists to add to the Scarcelight roster. Bridle Wire is one Thaniel Lee from New Albany, IN, & and Lim is Darren Milos from Stratford, CT. They are responsible for (SLR25) and (SLR31). Both are available to order now. Evol will be recording more material for release in late 2005 on Scarcelight. Some very vague plans for another US tour have been discussed. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Accelera Deck has a new CDR entitled "Hereafter" on Piehead, and available only by mailorder (until its "official" release date of 01.11.2005) is a new 3"CDR entitled "Ski". Ski is a precursor to the album "Pop Polling" which will be released on Scarcelight, perhaps in association with some UK label. Accelera Deck answered some questions for the interview section of Hand Stitched Heart. www.handstitchedheart.com ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Freiband (aka Frans de Waard) will be releasing a new recording entitled {flying} on Scarcelight. Actually this was supposed to appear on another label back some time ago. Scarcelight is very pleased to be able to make this music finally available. {flying} will be out 02.22.2005. In the meantime you can pick up the first Freiband album from Ritornell, or the second one from Bottrop-Boy. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Black Boned Angel have completed an album which will be released by Scarcelight sometime in early 2005. There are some plans to reissue the "Supereclipse" CDR on LP via a new label called Limnal Systems, which is run by Dave Adelson of Alternative Tentacles. The purpose of Floodlight is simple.
